The English for International Students Unit (EISU) has an excellent reputation for the quality of its courses and its friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere. EISU teaching staff have high academic qualifications and extensive teaching experience.
For international students currently registered at the University of Birmingham EISU offer free term-time courses and individual language support (available all year round).
EISU also run full-time courses for international students who wish to improve their English before they begin their academic studies.
These include courses in English and Academic Skills for students with an intermediate level of English or above, as well as pre-sessional courses in English for Academic Purposes and Business Management English
EISU also run the module in International Communication and Cross-Cultural Awareness as part of the Personal Skills Award, which is open to undergraduate students at the University of Birmingham.
