Social Programme

The English and Academic Skills course offers a full and varied social programme.  We believe that this is an important part of your time here as it helps you to get to know other students, gives you an opportunity to practise your communication skills, and is an ideal way to get to know more about the local area and British culture.

Social Programme

EISU Selly Oak has two social organisers who arrange activities for our students. The social programme varies from week to week, but offers the following type of activities:

  • Cultural
Visits to local museums, art galleries, theatres, concerts and historic buildings
  • Trips
Trips to places of interest like Stratford, Oxford, London, Bath, Stonehenge, Edinburgh
  • Sports
Games of football, badminton, tennis and volleyball
  • Entertainment
Nights out at a restaurant, cinema, pub, skating rink, bowling alley

On average there is at least one sporting activity, an evening out and a weekend trip organised each week.

Students who attend are asked to pay for their tickets and travel at cost price.
