Richard Gidwaney has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, RSA Diploma in TEFLA and MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham. He has been working as a teacher of English since 1990 having taught in Spain, Syria and the United Arab Emirates. He began working in the University of Birmingham on the pre-sessional EAP course in 2004 and has done subsequent summer courses as well as having been involved in the International Foundation Programme of this university.
Richard also has an interest in testing, especially IELTS for which he has been an examiner since 2000, as well as for Trinity, with whom he has been associated since 2006.
