University Facilities and Student Support

One advantage of being part of a big university are facilities and the level of support that is on offer. Click on the names of the facilities to find out more:

The International Office offers a wide range of support, help and advice for all international students within the University.

The Student Guild is an organisation run by students for students. It offers a large number of different clubs and societies, organises social events, and has a job centre, counselling service and range of shops, banks etc.

Information Services provides library and computer help and advice.

The International Student Advisory Service provides free advice to international students and their families on, for example, visas, employment and financial matters.

The Sports Centre provides students with excellent sports facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, and various courts, pitches and athletics facilities.

Student Support and Counselling Service. If you have problems, or just need someone to talk to, you can make an appointment to see a student counsellor.

The University Chaplaincy provides facilities for a variety of different religions.

The University Careers Service can help you plan your future career, write your CV or letter of application, or prepare for an interview.

The University Nursery cares for the young children of staff, students and the local community

The University Catering Service provides food and drink for students and staff at various places across the University campuses
